Self-Massage for Stress Relief






Nowadays, there are a lot of people working hard.  I see, most jobs are stressful even entertainment jobs.  Moreover, I heard bad news from Japan that some people died from their work.  I think that they might not relax enough and that they feel stressed.  In Japan, they call this “Karochi”.

So, I realize that we should know how to relax even in a short amount of time.  And I think the easy self-massage method will help you because you can massage yourself anytime and anywhere.

Before we start to massage, we need to know these rules;

1.      We have to massage with the thumb, index finger or middle finger.
2.      The massage method is to press for 10 seconds each time and then relax each time for 15 seconds.
3.      We have to press gradually and do again around 3-5 times.



Then let’s start! Follow me…Follow these steps…

First, press the position between the 2 eye-brows around 3-5 times with your thumb and index finger.

Second, press the position around under the eye-brows (near the nasal canthi) for 3-5 times again.



Next, fold the fingers together on the occipital bone, then press with the 2 thumbs and also massage the nap of the neck.



Then massage the shoulders up to the nape by your hands.

After that, press around under the clavicles and upper arms with your thumb.

And finally, press around the right shoulder by left hand and work the left shoulder by the right hand too.




These are all the steps that I often do when I am stressed. I am sure it can make you feel better too.

      It will help you get better faster

    That's great tips! I always have a neck pain and I'll follow your steps next time.
    Anyway, For me, I perfer to let someone do a massage for me than I do it by myself. LOL
